Welcome to the first of many posts in our “#homefound” series!
As we’ve been remodeling vitagoods, our whole team has really come together around the concept that home is not a place at all, but a state of mind. While the recipe for “home” may vary from person to person, we believe that this very feeling of “being at home” is a huge part of finding balance, health, and happiness.
So, we’ve decided to put together this simple series that explores what home means to some of the people on team vitagoods. We truly hope that you can get to know us a bit, and in doing so, be inspired to “find home” for yourself. We’re excited to have you along with us on this journey, and hope you have as much fun reading this series as we’ve had putting it together.
Admittedly, this feels a little narcissistic, but I felt like it was only logical to start by introducing you to myself.
Nice to meet you, I’m Joel. I am the brand activator of the vitagoods team, which means I lead the charge on our brand efforts, our product selection and curation, and making sure that we’re always sticking to our vision for the brand as a whole.
I am a 27 year old extreme extrovert who lives in Newport Beach, California. I absolutely LOVE it here. As a so-cal native, I honestly cannot imagine finding home anywhere else.
That being said, home, to me, is not a place, but the people who fill it. I feel most at home when sharing a meal, surrounded by those I love. My friends and family are the most important thing in my life, and I know that wherever I am, if I am with the people I cherish most, I will always be home.
While I don’t fancy myself a chef, most of my greatest memories to date are when I am stressed out beyond belief trying to pull together a brunch or dinner for 20 of my closest friends in my small house. It is my dream to one day have a dining table large enough to be able to accommodate as many people as I can convince to come over for a meal.
